For the fast track development and economic growth in the district, the Andhra Pradesh Government has started new urban development Body called ‘Godavari Urban Development Authority (G.U.D.A)’.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh have issued a notification intended to constitute the Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA), Head Quarter at Kakinada.
“The Godavari urban development authority will cover Kakinada and Rajahmundry municipal corporations, Peddapuram municipality, Gollaprolu Nagar Panchayat, Samalkot municipality and other 203 villages covering over 884 sq km.”
Citizen Services provided by ‘Godavari Urban Development Authority’:
Layout permissions: Residential, Commercial, Industrial Plot sub-division, amalgamation etc. Group housing schemes.
Building permissions: Residential apartment Complexes Multi-storeyed buildings Commercial, shopping complexes, buildings of educational institutions. Industrial buildings.
No Objection Certificates: City developments, Master plans, Parks, GUDA shopping complexes etc.
